Gordon Wells Medical Expenses

Gordon Wells, the pulpit preacher for the Church of Christ of Hanover, suffered a serious stroke recently and needs your help to pay his large medical bills.
The Church of Christ of Hanover (Pennsylvania) hired Gordon Wells as its fulltime pulpit preacher in 2017. Due to the sudden and unexpected death of the previous preacher the congregation had dwindled in size to just five members in regular attendance in 2016. With Gordon in the pulpit the revitalized congregation has grown to a membership of approximately 50 christians with a regular attendance of about 30 to 35 members. Praise God!

Before his untimely stroke the congregation was poised to embark on a plan of evangelism and growth. The stroke has set those plans back by at least six months as he recovers. Thankfully, Gordon is well on the path to recovery and the congregation has just requested that he prepare a revised plan of evangelism.
For now the congregation has stepped in to pay his medical bills, but this small congregation does not have the needed monies to pay both his medical expenses and continue to pay his salary. The monies now being used to pay his medical bills and medical insurance had been allocated for Gordon's salaray. If we continue to pay his medical bills and provide him with medical insurance, we will not have the money to pay his salary. Without your help Gordon Wells will not be able to continue the work of the church in Hanover!
We are reaching out to the Church of Christ brotherhood worldwide to help us pay his medical expenses and to help us continue the plan of evangelism and church growth that Gordon has so ably started.
We ask that you prayerfully consider a donation to help pay Gordon's medical expenses and help him continue the work of evangelism here in the Hanover, PA area!

PS: We have reduced the amount of the fundraising goal to $38,000 to cover only the immediate medical bills which need paid within the next six months. Won't you please help us reach our goal to keep the work in Hanover alive.
