This journey started in January, Gordon woke up achy and had some inflammation in his joints. Within a couple of days the inflammation and joint pain became unbearable, he was flown off slope Saturday and went to the ER  in Anchorage for medical help. After being in the ER for a short period of time the blood tests came back and he was admitted into the ICU for his kidney function being close to failure also his liver enzymes were beyond a safe threshold. Over the next three days they did every test they could do to try and diagnose the leading cause of the illness/ what was causing the kidney and liver issues. The doctors were able to bring the kidneys out failure and start bringing down the enzymes in the liver to normal levels. Gordon was due to return to Georgia where he lives, he was checked out of the ICU with strict instructions to seek medical treatment when he returned home. After returning to Georgia, Gordon was again admitted to the hospital for kidney and liver problems with the complications of now he had huge water blisters and severe inflammation in his legs where he was unable to walk or have much mobility in his lower extremities. The doctors again were able to get the kidney and liver problems under control with high levels of fluids. Still after almost six days the doctors were unable to find the main cause of the illness. He will have to follow up with multiple specialists and wound care for his legs because of all the skin damage( when the blisters broke because of the inflammation it cause what looks like 3rd degree burns) and possibly physical therapy to regain mobility in his lower extremities.  He wont be returning to work until he regains proper strength to walk and perform his job duties.  With that being said this would help Gordon and his family out a lot with medial and house hold bills, some may be able to relate when your cant work and the income stops, it sucks.
