Good Times Show Choir Season
Tax deductible
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Martinsburg Concert & Show Choir Festival. Schools in West Virginia have closed indefinitely due to Governor Justice's orders.
As you can imagine, this is a tough time for the Good Times Show Choir program. This choir festival serves as our largest fundraiser for the year. Good Times does not receive funding for show choir- we are funded completely by fundraising and sponsors.
We are in the hole $5,000 in non-refundable expenses (staging, lighting, sound, equipment trucks, judges flights, etc.) and have lost an estimated profit of $10,000+.
Good Times is going to struggle to be able to compete next year.
We will be able to begin the season for the students with what we have financially at this time, but we DO NOT have another way to recuperate the large amount of funds needed to pay for transportation to competitions. Good Times has been a competing group since 1979 and we do not want 2021 to be the first year they don't get the chance.
Thank you to anyone who is able to support us either by giving financially or by sharing this GoFundMe campaign. Good Times has always been an important part of the Martinsburg community, of music in West Virginia, and of the show choir world. We come to you now humbly asking for your help.
