Good Things Come Out Of The BLU FEST

Good things can come out of the Blu but we need a little help from our friends.
Empathy for special children is a charity very close to all of our hearts and as a team, we all have a long association with the fabulous work they carry out across Shropshire. Every week, of every year, Empathy works somewhere in Shropshire providing support and social opportunities for those growing up with Autism and Hidden Disabilities and their families. The charity is a lifeline for those that use it, ensuring that these vulnerable and isolated children and carers have support, friendship and a community to call their own. Empathy believes that every child should have an equal opportunity at a fun and fulfilled childhood and we have all seen first hand how Empathy's work change lives.
As a young team it will soon be time for some of us to move on uni and the next chapter in our lives but we want to leave a legacy to ensure that Empathy's work can continue.
As grant funding becomes more and more difficult to come by we have taken a brand new approach. We want to demonstrate that anything is possible with a little out of the box thinking, teamwork and hard work. We also want to continue to improve the lives of those growing up with a difference and expand the opportunities available to them.
As a team we set out to create a brand new festival.
A festival run by young people, for young people and a festival that is accessible to all. A weekend to celebrate youth and talent and difference, that we hope will raise some money for the fabulous organisation Empathy for special children.
We have worked so hard and come so far, we have done everything everyone has asked of us, we are so nearly there. We just need a little kick start with some additional funding to ensure we can achieve all we set out to achieve.
So please if you believe in young people, if you believe that with the right support and opportunity everyone can let their colours.
