Help Our Family Off The Streets

Hi everyone, We're a family with four children who lost our home the week before Christmas this last year. We were staying in motels and trying to save money before my husband lost his job in the end if February when the business he worked for voluntarily shut down at the beginning of quarantine. Since then, motels have become too expensive, and with a 50/50 custody arrangement to keep, we needed somewhere to call our own. We began a payment plan on a converted shuttle bus, with limited power and no running water and have been living in it since then. We lost our only regular vehicle to engine failure, lost most of our possessions in storage due to inability to make payment, etc. The list of the daily trials we endure every day as a homeless family with children is endless and always changing. We are trying desperately to get back on our feet, get into a place and give our family some much needed stability before Christmas this year, since last year's was so awful. Anything you can give to help us get into a new home, get a new vehicle so we can keep and travel to a job, etc would be appreciated more than I could ever write in words. We truly need help and will be so much more than grateful to get some. EDIT: We've changed the goal amount to something more reasonable (The original goal was set with little thought that we would actually receive help) Shame on the individuals calling our already humbling cry for help a scam. Asking for help has been one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. And in the same vein of dismissing the scam allegations, we've uploaded a picture that has more of our family in it. I'm sad and disappointed I felt the need to do this, and this is exactly why we had such a hard time coming to the decision to ask for help in this manner.
