Stan's journey ended far too soon, with him finally succumbing to his fight with cancer.
Stan lived in Soest in the centre of The Netherlands, surrounded by nature. There he had a lovely backyard where he would set up a BBQ for himself and games for his 4 year old daughter, whom he loved spending time with.
He liked to play golf, enjoyed wine, cooking, and the company of friends and family. He was a colourful person, with a great sense of humour and a passion for doing what was right.
Stan joined the Hilton family in 2010, working his way up from Assistant F&B Cost Controller in London, moving to the Caribbean, and back to the Netherlands where he was Finance Manager at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam.
He was a dedicated leader, always wanting the best for his team. He loved going out with them after work for a drink, and was always inviting everyone to join them.
His job was of great importance to him, he was so committed and worked until the last moment. Stan was an extremely valued member of our team, and we will miss him tremendously.
