It’s time to celebrate! Thanks to you Valley View Presbyterian Church has gone solar!
You’re invited to celebrate with us!
Please join us at the church, 613 N. Aiken Avenue, on Sunday, April 24th for worship at 11 with a luncheon following. Rvd. Dr. Asa Lee will preach.
As of a year ago, April 2021, the monies were raised, the solar panels installed and 6.4 kW solar array was active on the grid. Three years ago, Pittsburgh Presbytery committed our churches to reducing climate change impacts by using renewable energy, cutting energy usage and planting trees. Because of your generosity Valley View is at the forefront of greening of our churches!
Conspicuously situated on a sunny hilltop in the midst of a bustling urban neighborhood. We pray to be a “beacon on the hill” inspiring more churches, non-profits and homeowners to join us in addressing the climate crisis as an issue of faith, ethics and stewardship of God’s creation. Thank you for your contributions that have helped our little church in the city to be a huge example to others. Together we are moving towards a brighter future for this community and for the planet!
