Going for National and International Recognition

Hello Everyone. My name is Anthony W. Parran, Sr or you cam call me Tony. About 30-years ago, as a single parent an event happened one day when I picked my sons up from school. They wanted to know why couldn't they speak or see their mother. I told them it was not my decision, she didn't want to see nor speak to them (They are 41 and 42 now. She knows where they are and still refuses to speak to them).  I never thought anymore about it. A day or two later I received a call from the school asking what domestic issue had happened for my sons to completely stop participating in the school curriculum. I laughed and answered there has never  been, , , , ,  I stopped and said oh no.  The principal asked what did that mean. I told him I needed to put it all down on paper. My older son would bring it to school the next day.

That night I dragged out my 8080 desktop and dot matrix-printer and began typing the divorce I had gone through. I had typed 20-pages of tear stained hurt and pain.   Realizing I couldn't give them this, I condensed it down to one page to give to my son. The next day the principal said he understood and would help the boys with their schooling. 

A strange thing happened, I felt as if a 600-pound gorilla had been lifted from my shoulders and soon there after, I started keeping a journal of my life and travels. 

At the time I was working for IBM, DEC and EDS, traveling across the US and Canada, taking the boys with me and eventually living in Canada for 20-years. I retired in 2013, moved back to my home of Indianapolis, Indiana in 2014 and remarried. 

In 2010, I had written enough that I felt I could create a story or series of stories with me as the central character. Substitute Jerome Travis for me.  I went through a publishing company for my first two books because they had made these great promises. I only sold three. 

So I self-published four more, but have yet to sell any,  primarily because I don't have the name recognition. Yet without fail, I receive emails and telephone calls from publishers in the US and Canada wanting to promote my books. They say they are worthy of a Hollywood movie. I doubt it but, hey if they're that good, front me the money to get started. Oh no we can't do that, they'd say. Then my books aren't that great, have a nice day. Goodbye. 

And without fail, I'd receive another call, and another.  

Two months ago, a magazine company called Universal Pages believed in me enough to offer huge discounts and they would promote my works. The attached photograph is from one of their promotions.  They have kept their word, but now they want me to create a web page so that readers will easily find and interact with me. I don't have the funds. I'm retired as stated and any money we have insures the bills get paid, the big screen and or international fame will have to wait. So here I am,  my first time, asking for help. This company wants to put my works in International book clubs. You can see my works on Amazon by typing my name or the starting title  Chasing. 

All of my books are a series about a family wrongly targeted by a rogue Air Force General that thinks they know more about his operations to secretly put operatives in position of commerce to benefit his transport of cocaine between the US and Canada than they do.  Code named Roxanne, which in this case is not the name of a woman. 

I am confident my writing skills will keep you glued to the pages. I am writing my 7th.
