Alexanders tumour is a highly aggressive high grade Glioma which has also spread to his spine. Alexander has already endured multiple surgeries and gruelling radiotherapy to his head and spine and is currently taking inhibitors which in the short term help to slow the regrowth of these tumours.
Ultimately Alexander needs pioneering Immunotherapy & Dendritic cell therapy treatment in Germany, as there are no treatments of this kind available in the uk. This treatment is not just for now but also teaches Alexander’s body to fight off these cells should they ever return in future. Treatment of this kind will not only help save the life of a wonderful little boy but it will help to push forward cancer & brain tumour research for generations to come.
On the 14th May 2022 myself and my dear friend Anca will be attempting the 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours to raise money for 8 year old Alexander who is currently fighting a rare brain tumour. We will be attempting to climb the 3 highest mountains in the Uk, Scotland and Wales in just 24 hours. This involves climbing through the day and night in whatever weather conditions these mountain throw at us.
