We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym Needs Your Help!

Dear Family, Friends, and We Rock Community,
We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym – New Rochelle is an indoor play place for children ages one through fourteen who offer open play activities, birthday parties, private playdates, special events, and class trips. Our gym includes:
- Suspended equipment with swings for balance and vestibular treatment.
- Crash mats and crash pillows for fun, motor planning, and strength.
- A zip line for stress release and joint/body relaxation.
- A trampoline for building leg and core strength.
- An indoor play structure for climbing and increasing playground skills.
- Sensory-based toys for improved auditory processing and fine motor skills.
- A fine motor and arts and crafts area for improved hand-eye coordination.
We hope to include drop-off services, parents’ night out, one-on-one attendant care, and more!
My name is Ana Bourdon, and I am the owner of We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym in New Rochelle. This gym is the heart and soul of me and my staff, Nayra and Kayla. In December 2019, we opened our doors only to close three months later due to Covid and reopened in July 2020.
Here we are in 2021, still trying to make up for the financial loss this pandemic has caused. In that short time, we, the staff, have developed so many new relationships. It saddened us to know how much the children and their parents/caregivers missed the gym. Our gym has become a true outlet for sensory play in a safe environment. We would not change what we do for anything in the world because we love what we do!
The We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym of New Rochelle, has developed into its own community. We are always available to lend a listening ear and to support families with personal struggles they may be facing, especially those families raising and caring for a child with a disability. We envision our gym as a community hub, a safe place for respite and therapy, and a home for parents and caregivers to find meaningful adult conversations and share information and resources.
As all of our lives changed in 2020, I continued to worry about how we will be able to keep this community and space afloat. The thought of us having to close our doors is unthinkable. Without our safe haven, we know so many families will not have a place to go. This is why we are now reaching out for help.
