Hit & Run Victim Left For Dead NEEDS HELP

Donation protected
Hey to all my friends out there!!! I am sharing this for my long time friend Vinny Vega, his friend Ashley put the below together for him and we are helping to organize a way to raise money to help him out.

Below are more details from Vinny himself but Vinny was the victim of a hit and run accident while he was out for a run, they hit him and kept going and left him for dead!

He has been badly hurt and traumatized, but I’m so grateful to know he’s alive and recovering. He has 17 stitches in his face, and fractures in his skull and neck. We are all thankful that his injuries weren’t worse, he could have been paralyzed, or even killed. Though he’s lucky to be alive and recovering, the person that hit him hasn’t been found yet. Thankfully the police are looking and following leads from witnesses that saw the accident and helped Vinny when he was hit by the car.

I believe in Vinny, I always have. He has so many talents that most people don’t know about. Most people know him from being a big GoGo dancer all over the nightlife scene and circuit events all over the world. I’ve always loved seeing him perform, he has a beautiful spirit. It’s not just his looks that people love, he’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. He’s a great performer, and also an incredible photographer, a gifted writer, and an amazing singer. Vinny has always been there for me, and I know he always cares so much about everyone else, many times more than himself.

I’m starting this GoFundMe for Vinny Vega, because he deserves my help, and our help. Asking for help can be one of the hardest things to do in life, and I know he’s in need.
This was posted by Vinny with pictures of him from the Trauma Center at University Hospital in Newark after he was hurt:

1 week ago, last Saturday night @7pm in Orange, NJ....while staying at a friend’s place during this pandemic....I was crossing a street during my daily run, w/ the red hand blinking on the street sign across from me...A signal to finish crossing quickly before the hand was solid, and cars could continue driving through. So I made a quick sprint between the 2 streets.

As soon as I began running to the other side of the street, with the right of way, a car sped through the red light & hit me head on. I collided with the windshield and rolled off the car, which quickly kept on driving.

In shock, I thought it must’ve been my fault, but bystanders and witnesses rushed to my aid & told me I had been the victim of a “Hit & Run” accident. I’ve been at University Hospital since then.

I can’t say Thank U enough to those that found me, U can depend on the kindness of strangers! ❤️ Thanx to the ambulance drivers, Trauma team, Nurses, & Doctors that are helping me find my way. Thank U to all my true friends that have reached out w/ prayers, well wishes, & love....It gives me STRENGTH to carry on. This was yet another unexpected turn that life took me into, any support & understanding means the  to me! The road ahead will be a rough one, undoubtably. But, I’ve been through hard times b4, I am a SURVIVOR!  I have 17 stitches in my face, a fractured skull and neck, I can barely move....I’m now beginning to walk again, 1 thing is sure, life is never going to be the same ❤️ Of course a piece of me thinks, Why did this have to happen? But, the most empowering part of me knows and is grateful I’m alive...it could’ve been worse, more arduous & devastating. This is a CHANCE, to live LIFE again, & be BETTER than ever before. Be the CHANGE I want to see, and be STRONG! It’s PRIDE month, & I am proud, proud to survive, proud to live, proud to be alive.....Watch me now, because I will Rise ❤️#HitAndRun #Caraccident #LifeChanging #Survivor #NotGivingUp #Holdingon #ANewChapter #CantStopWontStop #IamSTRONG #CarryOn #WalkOn #IamMe #GoodEnough #StrongEnough #Fighter #CantKeepMeDown #IwillRISE #WatchMeNow #VulnerableIsBeautiful
@University Hospital

Now, he really needs our help, and I hope that you guys can join in and give him a big chance to be the best he can be. He’s fallen on hard times, but has taken his recovery seriously, I see it. He’s also humble and honest. When he was hit by the car, he was actively working on his recovery from drug addiction, he was really turning his life around. I have faith he will be ok, but hospital bills and debt could hurt him much more. Any little bit you can give would make such a difference, and knowing Vinny, I know he’s forever grateful for anyone that truly cares and wants to help. We’ve all been through such a hard time this year, so of course we understand that people don’t have much extra money. But anything at all to help him along the way, would be beyond amazing.

Thank you guys for reading this, and hopefully helping a great person get back on his feet, and put this horrible accident behind him. I know he’ll be stronger than before, and with our help, there’s no telling how great a man he will be.
