We wish to present the case of our son, Fabian Barlea. After an ultrasound, the doctors discovered a type of cancer called neuroblastoma, a tumour in his abdomen, which surrounds the aorta and main blood vessels. He was transferred to the pediatric oncology department, where he is recovering now together with his mother, who is also 7 months pregnant. After many blood tests, two bone marrow aspirations, an MRI, a CT and a biopsy, the diagnosis was confirmed: IVth degree NEUROBLASTOMA in the most aggressive form of the disease, with metastases in his bones, spinal cord and skull. All this time his condition got worse. He no longer stands up, he sleeps 90% of the time, hardly eats anything, he is always sad and without strength and, unfortunately, in a lot of pain.
Not many hospitals are specialized in this type of cancer but, fortunately, there is a chance at the Gustave Roussy Institute in Paris.
It is Fabian's chance to live! It will be a hard road ahead, with months, maybe years of hard recovery, extremely powerful chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cells transplant and other similar procedures to follow... but Fabi is a strong little boy!
Our child’s life depends on approximately 500.000 Euro, followed by other costs for the recovery, periodical checkups and other instruments meant to cure him completely and keep the cancer away for good. It is impossible for us to cover this amount. As time is very limited, we've started in parallel several fundraising campaigns.

Una settimana fa il nostro mondo si è ribaltato completamente. Al nostro Fabi, il nostro piccolo di 18 mesi, è stato diagnosticato un neuroblastoma al IV stadio, con metastasi alle ossa, al midollo osseo e al cranio. Questo tipo di cancro non può essere trattato in Romania, anche perché è una forma rara e aggressiva. La sua unica possibilità è di essere trattato a Parigi all' Istituto Gustave Roussy, che è specializzato in neuroblastoma. Ma i costi sono elevati, quindi abbiamo cominciato una raccolta fondi sperando di raggiungere l'importo necessario. Per favore, unitevi a noi nel lungo cammino verso la cura di Fabi.
