On May 18th, we lost a true advocate for disabled individuals and Veterans in the Central Florida community. Rogue Gallart spent the later part of his life championing the fight for those in need when he, and the love of his life, April, formed The Central Florida Disability Chamber of Commerce in 2009.
For over a decade, Rogue's commitment was to elevate the role of disabled individuals and Veterans in the workplace by providing the education, resources, and support to do so. He challenged organizations to enhance their workforce by focusing more on the ability of the individual, not the disability.
There was more to Rogue than just his passion for work - there was his passion for his family and friends. In March of 2018, Rogue and April welcomed their son, Alexander, into the world. "Alexander the Great" (as Rogue would refer to him as) brought so much love into their lives, with his bright smile and huge personality.
Either directly or indirectly, Rogue Gallart has touched the lives of thousands of Central Florida residents. His efforts have yielded jobs for the previously unemployed, as well as direction and support for those in need. He has given so much to help so many and now it is our time to give back. Rogue needs our help.
Rogue's passing on Saturday was completely unexpected and left April and Alexander in need of immediate financial support. The Board of Directors for his organization, The Central Florida Disability Chamber of Commerce, are starting a GoFundMe campaign to help our late leader's family in their time of need.
Monies collected will go directly to the family to pay for additional service costs (Rogue's soccer teammates started another GoFundMe for funeral costs), as well as to assist April with costs associated in raising 1 year old Alexander.
