Vern(Butch) the Godfather of Zimmerman sports needs your help. He was born with a heart defect. At age 6 the University of MN Heart Center performed surgery to open his pulmonary valve. It was one of the first to be preformed. None of the Doctors expected him to live long. His cardiologist today said most people don't live as long as he has.
Now his heart has worn out. On top of that he has a bone infection. In order to kill the the infection he must have IV antibiotics everyday for 6 weeks. The trips to the hospital everyday was defeating the good the medicine was doing.The social worker at Fairview Princeton got money to lower the costs way down, but there is still a lot to pay out of pocket each day. Then there is other things you need like a bath bench, waterproof beding , comfort items & replacing footrest on his used wheelchair. The list goes on. The bills will be flooding in soon. And his cremation account needs to be paid off, cause we know time is getting short.
This town has been great to my husband and our family. He is missing beening with the football team as they continue their run for state camps. Also the basketball season is on his mind. He loves all the Thunder Kids and staff.
We wouldn't want to be any where else.
So please help him just a little more.
