God takes the good so young

Let's give my little brother the burial and ceremony he deserves. Artamus, 24 years old, gone home. One minute to the next in a blink of an eye god decided to take him due to liver failure. Leaving his mom, dad and 2 sisters behind. Alcohol is the life of the party for most. My brother was that party. He always had a smile on his face and was the life of the party, he got along with everyone and anyone. He would give his last dollar just to see someone else happy.  When you stop and realize you want help and support to give up a habit because inside whatever your going through you know you want life, you want a chance and another day. Well in my brother's case, he wanted just that but it was a little to late for him. Walking into a rehab thinking soon he will be coming out a clean new person is all my brother had in mind but instead he found himself in the hospital because it was a little to late. In my brother's case he was a heavy drinker as a kid, time went by and when he decided to give it up and wanted the support and help to do so,his liver was already failing which caused his kidneys to fail and other infections and symptoms that left him in pain. Seeing my brother giving his all to fight for his life was heartbreaking, seeing him so weak that he couldn't even walk, slurring in his speech, seeing his skin turn yellow and people stop to stare was all just something we all prayed and hoped would pass by. But when doctors tells a mother that there only son is doing very bad and cant breathe on his own is the worse news to hear. With all this virus going around my brother had no visitors or the support and love he needed in the hospital. After a week being hospitalized his blood pressure started to drop which caused him to end up in ICU which then led them to allow my moms first and last visit. Having to hear her son say " mom I'm going to die, are you going to be ok?" Was what he said to her. After telling my mom his blood pressure was stable so she can leave and get rest was a little good news to hear. Then it all changed when a half hour later she was called to be told that her son wasn't going to make it in the next 2 hours so to go say our goodbyes to him. Having to see your only brother laying on a hospital bed not responding is the worse feeling anyone can feel or go through. And when you know in your heart that they can hear every word your telling them because they shed that last tear and pass on. So let's get this youngster the ceremony and proper burial he wished and would be grateful for. And to all them young ones out there that think drinking is what life is about and think alcohol is the life of the party. Well what will you do when the partys over? Alcohol isn't a joke, it took a whole life away from an innocent warm hearted loving brother, my brother.
