Goat Track Madness. Money for MS
Donation protected
I have three seperate conditions. Chrohns disease, Short Bowell Syndrome and most recently Primary Progressive MS. The last one has been a handful. MS is a scary illness. For me, it means I cant walk much at all, there is constant pain and fatigue etc. Despite that, I still surf (crawl down the beach and back) ride a trike, and live life. BUT MS mostly affects young woman with children. They need a lot of support and the research is really delivering results. This is crazy, but on August the 6th, i am going to wheel chair up a local mountain, on a dirt road called "the goat track" to try and raise $20,000 in donations for the MS Society to undertake support and research. NOW, i have 100 people coming, a goat, a choir, a bag pipe player! What a giggle. BUT its costing me $2500 in fees and charges. $800 for Public Liablity, $600 for a Traffic Management Plan, $500 for posters, a banner ---the list goes on. If any money is left over from this campaign, it will all be donated. I am trying to simply cover the costs of DOING the fund raiser. The money is one part, the message to my fellow disabled is that almost nothing is impossible with a community behind you. Go big, have fun , and TRY
