Goa Gil Farewell Darshan – Burning Man 2024
Donation protected
In loving memory of Goa Gil, this project is an offering to Black Rock City, Gil and the community that surrounded him. We are honored to create and present this Art Installation as a means to bring the psychedelic essence that his parties nurtured, back to Black Rock City in 2024.
Goa Gil was born on October 11, 1951 and passed away on October 26, 2023. His life's work in music and spirituality touched many facets of the underground music scene and culture, on a local and global scale—including a strong presence in Black Rock City and the greater Burning Man community.
This project is presented to be an honoring of that legacy and a final farewell from the playa, in gratitude for the music, the wisdom, and the connectedness that he brought to the world.
We invite you to please contribute to our project by donating to this GoGundMe. Help us reach our goal budget so that we can make this temple for Gil the best it can be!
We are so excited and grateful to have received a grant from BRC that covers 60% of our planned budget and we have created this GoFundMe to raise the remaining funds needed for the project.
