Foosball got me through the hard times of life growing up and it continues to help shape my future now. Every foosball fan or player has a hero in the game. Someone they loved to watch play growing up in the sport. One figure of the sport that comes to mind is Johnny Horton of Tampa Florida.

His performances attracted massive crowds at foosball events for decades. His element of excitement and (more times than not) human drama engaged the fans in the crowd which lit up the ballroom! His style was electrifying!

Johnny was a TRUE spectacle and his performances inspired so many.

After winning 3 world singles titles over the span of 3 decades fighting drug addiction and mental illness Johnny retired from the sport of table soccer as one of the greatest.

In 2018 Johnny Horton was diagnosed with late stage 1 parkinsons. Since his quality of life has quickly worsened and he's now in late stage 3. Simple every day tasks have now become so difficult. Currently he's in danger of losing his place to live and peace of mind due financial hardships associated with Johnny not being able to work.

More than 90,000 people get diagnosed with Parkinsons every year. There is virtually no cure and no known cause of this horrible disease that effects millions of people.
