Let's Support My Dad to Fight Colon Cancer

Donation protected

Just like a photograph can change lives, my dad photographed life to tell a story. He is 55 years old and just got diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. He does not have the energy to feel like himself and to photograph to tell the story of life. There will be a long and tough time ahead of my family. He is scheduled for 2 major surgeries, he had 1 operation already, there will be chemotherapy for weeks and many more tests.

Aside from all these we need to give him great emotional support throughout these tough days to help him hold on to life. We are a small family. I only got my mom and dad on my side in this life who are still with me through the good and bad. And let's not forget our 4 little members of our family Adalina, Chickpea, Bumba and Smokey. :)

I am a 28 year old, recent graduate and currently working as an architectural designer. I am my daddy’s only daughter and only child. I love him very much and I am willing to do what it takes to support and help him fight this cancer.

We always thought cancer would never find us but 2 years ago my mom got diagnosed with cervical cancer. It broke us and took all the energy out of us. She recently won the fight against her disease. My dad always put my mom and myself before himself. He was always strong so this news was unexpected. I want to live a life with my dad in the picture as long as possible. He still has to see me get married and meet his grandchildren. He loves kids and kids love him. He is their Uncle Tom. We have to care and love the people in our lives while they are still there with us. We never know when we would lose them.

Both my parents don’t have any insurance and we are fighting everything 3 of us together against all the bumps and obstacles that come our way.

This time, I am asking for your support because this new journey will be very hard on us emotionally and financially. Anything small or big will help. I know that you will be a big part of our lives and will give us your energy for my dad to feel strong again.

My dad had his first surgery on June 14th and it was his birthday that day. Now I am posting this fundraiser on Father’s day. I did not plan on celebrating my dad’s day like this but I know that we will have more birthdays and fathers day together.

My dad wants to thank each and every one of you for your donations with his photographs signed by him. Please send us a private message with your mailing address.

We only have this one life, let’s not forget the value of everyday we breathe and live.

Keep us in your prayers and good wishes.

Thank you!
