Max's Medical Fund

Max Wagner is one of my dearest friends who was in a motorcylce accident and rushed to surgery in critical condition on New Years Day.  Max suffers from a collapsed right lung, pulmonary contustions to his left lung, spinal fractures, pelvic fractures, and numerous fascial fractures that will require reconstructive surgery.  He now relies on a ventilator since he is still unable to take his own breaths. His eyes remain swollen shut, but Max is constantly squeezing our hands. We know he can hear us telling stories about him and whispering words of encouragement to him. Max managed to open one eye as the nurse continuously encouraged him to show us he could hear her for one of his hourly nuerological exams. I was fortunate enough to have been standing behind her to see him stare back into her eyes, desperate to be healed and able to speak to us. The hardest thing I've ever done is watch my dearest friend struggle for his life. He has lifted me up on my worst days and I hope we can lift him up through his worst days. He is "everyone's best friend" because he is the most encouraging, loving person anyone has ever known. He is the most amazing friend, uncle, son, and brother anyone could ever ask for.  We have started this fund to raise money for Max's medical expenses. He has already had one surgical procedure done to stop his severe abdominal bleeding and is still expected to have spine, pelvis, and fascial surgery. Max will need months of physical therapy in a rehabilitation center in order to walk again.  Max has a tough road to recovery, but WE CAN SUPPORT HIM with our prayers and by donating to help relieve some of his medical expenses. Anything helps!
