About a month ago my Father was rushed to the hospital due to an infection in his right leg. The doctors had to make a quick decision of either amputating his leg or removing the infected sections of his skin. For 8 days he was on a ventilator in the ICU with nearly half of the bones on his leg exposed. He was able to make it out of the ICU and he was on his way to recovery up until the infection reached his liver. He had a septic shock and his organs are failing. The doctors had to put him in a medically induced coma again. Not too long ago, my Mother too was in the hospital battling multiple diseases. Unfortunately she passed away 2 years ago, and my Father has been struggling to keep a steady income without her. Due to him being the only source of income for our family at the moment, managing his medical bills has become close to impossible. He has no life insurance, and both of his children (my brother and I) are still students. He is still in the ICU and the numbers are increasing everyday, and we are truly heartbroken that it has come to the point where donations are deemed necessary.
