Charlie is a 3 year old little girl whom is bright, intellegent, humorous and full of life. Around the begininng of December, she had been having some issues with a few urinary tract infections. So, her specialist decided to refer her for an ultrasound to clear the thought of any bladder stones. The technician who performed the test, accidently found what is called a paraspinal mass. Also in receiving this news, there was a possibility of it being connected to the kidney, it's main artery or the spine itself. Two weeks before Christmas, Charlie had to undergo surgery to remove the tumor. Successfully, the surgeons removed the whole tumor with zero complications. The growth was then sent off for a biopsy where we had found that it is ganglioneuroblastoma (malignant/cancerous). As a family, The Martin's are exhausted emotionally, physically, mentally and are feeling hopeless. Between Charlie going to pre-school, full time jobs, countless doctors appointments, unexpected time off work and running a household this family is traumatized by these new daily struggles. They are asking for support and prayers as they have yet a long road ahead of them.
