We Love Trish Johnson Fund

Our dear friend, Trish, has found herself facing the incredible challenge of battling breast cancer. As a single mother of two beautiful girls and working full time at a demanding job, we all know how strong Trish is. At times like this, though, everyone needs some help and support. She will be needing multiple surgeries, radiation treatments, scans, and many doctor appointments. All of which will take her away from work and income that she needs to take care of herself and her girls.

Some of best help that she can receive (other than lots of prayers, support, and cassaroles) will be financially, to fill in the big holes that will be created in her income. Missing that much time from work will be a domino effect. She will have to take on less clients. Less clients now means less income in the future since loans in the home building business hang around much longer. (And a good portion of that income comes after the loans have closed). Once all of her vacation and paid time off is exhausted and anything not covered by short term disability (which only covers 60% of base pay) time off needed for appointments, surgery, and recovery will be unpaid. Not only will she have the emotional stress of fighting cancer, she will have the financial stress of trying to pay co-pays and deductibles on top of the regular monthly bills that come with a home and two teenage daughters.

Anything that you can do to help Trish out will be appreciated beyond measure. As we all know, even a little bit can add up. Stress is one of the worst things that you can deal with when you are trying to heal, so as her family and friends, anything that we can do to lighten that load will be a blessing!
