Support for my mamma

https://youtu.be/OhyMWbHYBgQ Hello Friends, Family & Strangers willing to lend a helping hand,

My Grandmother Millicent, an 80 year old native of the beautiful island of Jamaica, suffered a stroke roughly two years ago which resulted in paralysis of her left arm. This unfortunate event has led to many problems and discomfort in her life. Recently, while getting up from her bed she tripped over a pile of clutter in her room, fell and injured her hip. Now unable to be as mobile as before, her independence is at risk and she is more vulnerable to bedsores and muscle weakness.

When I was a little boy growing up in Jamaica, I remember my grandmother being very strong and taking care of everyone she came in contact with. Her vibrant, jovial and pleasant attitude touched the hearts of so many including myself. She worked in the market as a butcher serving poultry to her community and raised nine grandchildren simultaneously. Now for some reading this, you may ask, with all the grandchildren she has taken care of, why aren’t they contributing to her wellbeing? Well most of them who are still living in Jamaica are working to fend for themselves and do not have the necessary means to assist her. As for myself, after moving to America, I was in no position to help her as I too and still is trying to be financially stable and provide for myself.  After visiting Jamaica in 2018 and observing the conditions that she resides in, I knew I had to do something, and fast. I have been contributing the best I know how, however it is just not enough. She is in need of a comfortable bed, preferable a medical bed, a cane, walker, refrigerator and other miscellaneous items for her home. My goal is to raise enough money to cover these expenses to provide my Grandmother with a comfortable and accessible living environment that she deserves. In addition, I hope to provide her with a caretaker for a year who will show her the love and support she continues to show others. I also plan to vlog the entire experience and share it will you all once the money is raised. You can also check out the vlog of my trip to Jamaica where I visited my Grandmother. There you can see for yourself her living situation. With your help and support I know this is possible. Thank you.
