On Thursday night Nana (the fabulous Doris Coseboom) fell at her home. She ended up significantly braking her ankle. On Monday she went to see the doctor and had to have emergency surgery. The doctors placed external fixation on her ankle to stabilize the fracture. However, because of the severity of the injury, swelling, and fracture blisters this is only a temporary solution. In approximately two weeks she will require another surgery to place a plate and screws. Due to the physical challenges of her fracture and Neuropathy she will require full time care after each surgery to recover. 

Doris will have to go to a rehabilitation facility for at least four weeks or more. This costs $311 a day and unfortunately is not covered by Medicare and is a total out of pocket expense for Doris and Tom. This is a huge financial burden to them. 

We are hoping to ease the burden for Doris and Tom by raising enough money to cover the cost of the stay and give her the best chance for a full recovery.
