Glitter and Garbage is bringing our brand of filthy Cabaret from Philly to Los Angeles for the first time EVER on June 12th! We are thrilled to have booked our first show at the gorgeous Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood!
Did you know flying 2 humans across the country and traveling with equipment/instruments costs a pretty penny? Hopping on a boxcar is really retro and we would much prefer to sit down in the air, safe in the knowledge that our instruments are secure and that a person in uniform will bring us a cocktail upon request. Upon landing, we’ll need a spot to run through our material and perfect our Cabaret magic for the vultures of West Hollywood...and maybe we'll even sleep! Who knows?
Your generous dollars are covering this:
* Air fair for myself and Lili St Queer- my accompanist/accomplice.
* Traveling and transporting our act/ instruments/equipment
*Rehearsal space and lodging
Seriously folx, we are two working artists without a lot of extra cash and this is SO important to us. I first started Glitter and Garbage as a transplant from New York to Philadelphia who had just re learned how to use my voice and most of my body. The fact that venues in other cities are thirsty for us
makes my heart feel that thing...you know the one... the opposite of being kept after class. This gig has the potential to open some doors for us. We will walk through those doors, make ourselves comfortable, and rifle through your things.
