Glioblastoma Grade 4 Brain Cancer, Jimmy Addison

Hello.

My name is Chari Chase and I'm starting this fundraiser for my brother-in-law, Jimmy Addison. Jimmy is a 40-year-old male that has just gone through an unexpected, emergency brain surgery for a grade 4, glioblastoma (GBM), primary brain tumor on May 17th, 2022.

Jimmy was recently running at the University of Washington last spring when he realized he couldn't talk and type after his run. Jimmy was rushed to the nearest hospital by a friend and was immediately transferred to a larger Seattle trauma center where he ultimately had emergency cranial / brain surgery the next day. We, as a family, were told not to expect a good outcome as he may never leave the hospital!

Ultimately, Jimmy awoke and recovered and the current results are that the resected tumor has grown and might be metastasizing slightly. He is now looking at extensive radiation and chemotherapy treatments hopefully to prevent further growth and spread of the cancer cells. Jimmy is not able to go back to work as a registered vascular sonographer and is accruing extensive medical bills for the unforeseeable future. His immediate family all live out of town and are doing everything we can to help him so he doesn't have to worry about his bills and medical expenses that are building very quickly. Jimmy is an incredible person who lives his life and career helping other people in the medical and running community.

We are asking for anything you can help Jimmy with so he can focus on the extensive treatments and rehab he is looking at. We also are asking for as many prayers as we can get for one of the most amazing people you would have ever had the pleasure of being a part of your life. Jimmy never met a stranger in his life and spent his entire life and career helping others.
