Glenlola Great North Run Team

Do you want to join us in making a difference? We are a group of teachers from Glenlola and we are raising money to help Charlene's Project build a Secondary School; every donation helps. We are either old, unfit, injured or a combination of all the above! Thank you in advance for contributing to this cause that means so much to us all.

Before Charlene Barr died in 2010, aged 20, she raised funds to build a primary school. Glenlola Collegiate has been supporting her project for quite a few years now, initially raising funds to support work in primary schools and to sponsor 6 girls to get to secondary school, but latterly, to help build a secondary school in western Uganda.

Charlene Secondary School is now open as building and kitting out the school continues (see the video to see how impressive the school looks - but there is so much more needed). As you donate, you encourage us in our Great Northern Run, and you are helping to provide an education to very impoverished children in Uganda.

Charlene's Project started with one girl, confined to her bed, unable to go to school but daring to dream. Charlene Secondary School realises a dream of a better future for the children we in Glenlola Collegiate, and you, support in Uganda.
