Remembering Kris Bailey

My brother Kris recently passed away, he was suffering from both a mental illness and physical pain that he could no longer bare to fight. He had a dream to die in a beautiful place and time of his choosing.

He traveled to Vietnam so he could feel alive. Daily rides on his motorcycle down by the beach, enjoying the sun and waves in a paradise away. Spending his last days with his girlfriend and saying farewells to family.

He was my hero, for most of my youth I always looked up to him. Big and strong, so cool and friendly and always there when I or anyone needed him. He had so many traits that as a kid I wanted to emulate and feel I'm a better person for having him in my life.

Kris was loved and respected by so many people, he was giving and generous and always willing to help.  He impacted and added to their peoples lives and the memories they share and the stories we tell will honour his life.

Repatriating my brother from vietnam has been very costly using up our families savings and the future costs of a funeral will require much more than we have to give. We may not be able to have one.

We miss him terribly and are dealing with his loss as best we can, day to day.

Any help no matter how little will be greatly appreciated.
