Bringing Lucky Home

Donation protected
Two years ago me and my boyfriend moved to China to teach English- the economy had gotten quite bad in the UK and I was made redundant, it was a hard decision to make, especially as I had just lost my Grandad but we decided it was the best one for us as we felt like we were drowning. After 2 months we brought a Teddy Dog and named him Harry, we needed a new addition to take our minds off being homesick and he won our hearts when we saw the little fluffball.
Unfortunately the company used us and we were put in dangerous situations every week. We had enough and moved to Shenzhen where we were promised a job- it was 40 hours on a train and we had to smuggle Harry on. It took the company in Shenzhen 3 weeks to tell us they had no room for more teachers and we had 24 hours to leave the accomodation- we only had 2000rmb between us and a dog to care for, no home, no job and no return flight home- it was very scary.
Thankfully we were saved by a job opening in Baoji and took another 49 hour train journey there. We were given accomodation and contracts and for a while it was brilliant. But during June 2013 we found a puppy, no older than 2 weeks old in a cardboard box next to a rubbish bin with wrappers in the box with him, no food, no water and it must have been 40 degrees at least. We felt terrible seeing him like that and rushed him to the animal hospital where the vet said he wouldn't last the night. But he did! We saw him the next day and he only reacted to us, he ate when Kurt offered him some puppy mix and showed real signs of fighting. We took him home and instantly Harry mothered him- he cleaned him, encouraged him to eat and played with him, it was especially funny when he tried to catch Harry's tail.

Life went on like this with our happy foursome until we recieved some horrible news; in fact we recieved three lots in the same week- 1, I'd had a miscarraige after only a few weeks into my first pregnancy. 2, Kurt's Nan was very sick in hospital and 3, My Nan had cancer.
Hearing all of this hit us hard and we made an istant decision to come home but after working out finances we realised we didn't have enough money to bring the dogs home with us. It broke our hearts but the only choice we had was to leave them with a dogsitter until we could afford to transport them both home- A total cost of £4-£5000 depending on the company.
For the last 3 months we've been trying our hardest to make enough to bring them back but everytime we got a little it needed to cover something else! A week ago the dogsitter messaged me to tell me that Harry hadn't eaten enough, he had aneamia, low red blood cell count, skin disease and possibly worms or liver or kidney functioning problems. None of this seemed real- only 2 months ago he'd been fine! However yesterday, the unthinkable happened and I recieved the message that Harry had hours left to live-

that became an hour and he was gone forever, our beautiful little boy, only two years old, dead. He wasn't even with his family when it happened, we weren't there and I will never forgive myself for that but the urgency to get Lucky home is impossibly high now- I can't bear anything happening to him, especially as he has just lost his big brother and being without them has caused me to have symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress which makes life very hard.
I'm only on here because there is no way me and Kurt can make that much money in such short a space of time, I'm trying to work self emplyed as no one will employ me and Kurt was made redundant last week, we're both constantly applying for jobs but with no luck and we need our baby boy back, please help us if you can, the money you put forward will pay for his transport to the airport, travel in the cargo hold, airport clearance in the UK and transport to our house, it will also cover all paperwork and medical checks. We will appreciate it so much and if you can help us Lucky will send you a special thankyou when he's finally home.
