7 Marathons in 7 Days
7 Marathons in 7 Days. A challenge/event which was sparked back in November 2020.
Stephen and Shane aim to run a marathon a day, starting in Clifden, Galway on the 27th of July and finishing on Dollymount beach on the 2nd of August. Running all the way across Ireland, we’re doing it to raise as much funds and awareness as possible for the Jigsaw Foundation. We want to continuously push the need for mental health awareness and providing people with education on the matter.
Day 1: Clifden - Maam Cross
Day 2: Maam Cross - Eyre Square
Day 3: Eyre Square - Castleblakeny
Day 4: Castleblakeny - Athlone
Day 5: Athlone - Tyrrellspass
Day 6: Tyrrellspass - Kilcock
Day 7: Kilcock - Dollymount Beach
The last 18 months has been a whirlwind for every single person. Ups and downs, good days and bad days. People have been effected on a level unimaginable. This event has become more than just a run(s). We will do our very best to combat the stigma of talking about mental health, showing people it’s both cool and important to do so. Professionals, close friends, family, colleagues; Reach out to someone. It’s too important.
Any help going forward would mean the world.
