Within minutes of meeting Sean Malone, most people learn a few things about him: he is incredibly honest and open, his dog Bruce Wayne is quite possibly the love of his life (apologies to Sean's husband AJ) and he shines with positivity. Sean's sense of humor and kindness make him someone that everyone wants to be around. He is a very special person whose presence brings joy to so many people.

In May, Sean was very unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 4 Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma. Sean is 32 years old and has always been a healthy and active person. This diagnosis was obviously shocking to him and everyone who loves him. Thankfully, Sean is being treated by an amazing team of doctors at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). He began chemotherapy in June, and frequently completes the 1-hour commute to HUP for treatment.

In dealing with both the emotional turmoil of a cancer diagnosis and the physical effects of chemo, Sean is unable to work at this time. However, he continues to have many expenses. In addition to his usual expenses such as rent, car payments, and groceries, he now has the added expenses of medical bills and a long hospital commute. AJ has supported Sean every step of the way, attending all appointments while working his full-time job as an emergency room nurse. Unfortunately, AJ is no longer able to work overtime as much as before due to the number of Sean's appointments. Sean moved to Pennsylvania from his home state of Indiana, where most of his family lives, so he does not have family locally who can help him regularly.

Despite these hardships, Sean has not lost any of his positivity. He has vowed to fight this battle and beat cancer. It is hard to imagine dealing with a normal financial burden, let alone a large number of new expenses, while fighting cancer. Some family and friends have already given gifts and so many have shared their thoughts and prayers. Please join me in helping Sean and AJ by donating funds directly to them. Your donation will be used by them however they need, in hopes of lightening their load even a little bit.

Thank you all for your support. Please continue all of your positive thoughts and prayers for Sean on his journey to beat cancer. And please share this campaign with your family and friends!
