Give Steve the send off he deserves!

Hi, my name is Rachel; I'm a close friend of Amelia ‘Millie’ Grimmett, Steve Grimmett's wife. As I am sure you’ve heard, we recently lost our beloved Grim Reaper front man. I hope you will join me in my efforts to give Steve the send-off he deserves.

Steve was a larger-than-life character whose performances brought fans together, young and old. His infectious personality and bombastic voice contributed to his great success over the decades. He loved nothing more than performing for his fans and seeing them after his shows. He often talked fondly of how important his fans were to him. Because of this, he treated them as an extended family. He was there for them as much as they were for him. Millie recently expressed to me how Steve’s fans helped him through difficult times and how he was able to help them through some of their darkest moments.

Behind his career stood a man with a big heart, always there to offer a smile, a friendly ear and above all else, damn, he was fun to be around. He was a loving father, grandfather, friend and husband. His hobbies included a love of aeroplanes, which wasn't well known to anyone outside his circle, but he nonetheless enjoyed building and flying scale RC planes.

Despite his talent and heart, he did not see the financial success one would assume and has opened up about being on welfare support. His wife Millie has supported the two of them throughout his recent years and leg operation. It is for this reason I am fundraising for his funeral.

We are all aware of how expensive funerals can be, which is why we are welcoming and thankful for any support you can offer. So, let’s come together one final time and raise a glass for Steve.
