Loaves & Fishes: Food That Multiplies!

Tax deductible
Plant seeds. Plant trees. Give food. And Give Back in a way that pays dividends! In the vein of "Give a (wo)man an fish, she eats for a day; Teach a woman to fish she eats for a lifetime" we are teaching sustainable, organic agriculture business projects to the indigenous Batwa of Kalehe Village in Uganda -- one of the poorest, most marginalized tribes in the world.

We've dubbed Giving Tuesday, November 30th, as "Giving FoodsDay" at Redemption Song Foundation  (RSF). Help us create packets of food, seeds, and ag supplies for each family! And beyond, depending on how much is raised!

Since the COVID pandemic started, we have given food relief and taught the indigenous Kalehe Village Batwa tribe members to do sustainable, organic agriculture -- from coffee arabica to goats, rabbits, vegetables, fruit trees, and more -- and we are raising money to vastly expand this project next year. We started teaching them how to grow, fertilize, mulch, and more — and now we mean BUSINESS. We aim to teach the families how to grow enough to sell, so they can support themselves instead of working for peanuts in their other small gigs.

Your money goes a LONG WAY in Uganda! We will soon publish a list of items you can contribute to specifically, or give generally so we can hire another agriculture expert with business management experience to really make things hopping! We aim to sell organic produce to tourist lodges and local people, supporting the environment while improving local health, and making RSF and the Batwa financially sustainable at the local level. Win-win-win!

Founded by journalist Wendee Nicole  in 2014, RSF works primarily to empower indigenous Batwa tribe members in SW Uganda. The Batwa were evicted from their ancestral forest to save endangered mountain gorillas and now live in dire poverty at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. RSF has already brought them clean water, solar power, new housing, and education for children (some are still in need of sponsors -- inquire!) We focus on sustainable development projects (co-directed by the Batwa) that balance environmental conservation, health, and livelihoods.
