Hello, my name is Macayla, and I am a close family friend of Almerinda "Maria" Serpa's daughter, Alex. As some of you may have heard, Maria passed away Saturday, January 25th of unexpected natural causes. It is with great sorrow that I write this message.

If you knew Mrs. Almerinda "Maria" Serpa, you know she was bold, full of spunk, and an expert at weaving Portuguese pride into just the right moments, like a true artisan! She loved deeply and fiercely. Her loyalty to her family and friends was unwavering. Her love for cooking and feeding people made her a welcome staple at any event!

Her passing has left an unfillable void, and while we mourn her loss, we also want to celebrate the incredible life she lived. I am reaching out on behalf of the family, for help to cover the unexpected funeral expenses and give her the farewell she deserves.
