As many of you know, my Mom was recently diagnosed with cancer. It’s not the type of news you expect to hear for a young, healthy person such as she is. The diagnosis has been hard, taking her out of work for multiple tests, appointments and now surgery.
My mom is a single mother of two and sole provider for our family. With the surgery and treatment, the medical-related expenses are starting to accumulate. My mom gives so much of herself – it’s who she is. She works in the medical field, takes care of her family and friends. She stops to help strangers on the street whenever the opportunity presents itself. Now it’s our turn to show my Mom a little love.
