Give Dave Nutter the best send off

On the 9th July 2023 my dad was out getting a present for my 5 year old son Archie, who was in hospital in Oxford after undergoing major skull surgery. On his way home he suffered a massive heart attack while driving on the motorway with our 9 year old son in the car. My dad was a hero at the wheel and somehow managed to bring the car to a safe stop, saving both their lives at the time and preventing a huge accident on the motorway. Our son was fine and managed to flag down some help, but unfortunately my dad's heart stopped for 25 minutes. He had CPR at the roadside and underwent a stent operation in hospital, but his lack of oxygen ended up being fatal and it was decided the damage he sustained to his brain was so severe, he would never recover. Dad sadly passed away on the morning of the 18th July.

Those who know my dad will know he was the kindest, funniest, most giving soul. He never wanted anything back from anyone. Even when he was having a heart attack he made sure to bring his car to safety on a motorway to save his grandson. He always put everyone else first, would have given the shirt off his back and even in the end he was a hero saving his grandson and donating organs and tissue to help save other lives.

As this was so unexpected, my dad didn't have any funeral plans in place, but we desperately want to be able to give him the best send off he deserves. He gave over 22 years of his life serving in the Royal Navy, including involvement in the Gulf War. As a family we would greatly appreciate any donations to give him a hero's goodbye❣️
