Girl Power in Uganda
Donation protected

Instagram Link We will climb Mount Kilimanjaro in February, the highest mountain in Africa, to raise money for girls in Uganda. My sister and I are grateful for our lives, but we are aware that we are extremely lucky and would like to help girls our age in the country we call home: Uganda.
The aim is to raise money for:
- Orphaned girls and girls who were born with HIV in a public primary school we know well.
- Raise money to buy reusable menstrual pads for secondary school girls who would drop out of school without them.
- Schoolfees for a good friend of mine, Patricia, the lacrosse goalkeeper of the Ugandan Lacrosse National team who grew up in the slums but managed to finish High School and now dreams of going to University.
For every $1000 USD we raise, we will be able to pay:
$300 for school fees and a simple lunch for 15 girls ($8 for breakfast and small extra costs + $17 for lunch per girl per term).
$200 to organize an information day and give reusable pads to 100 secondary school girls.
$500 for one term in University for Patricia.
We aim to raise $4000 USD to pay for a whole school year for 20 primary school girls, give menstrual pads to 400 secondary school girls, and pay the first year of University fees for Patricia.
If we are fortunate enough to raise more than $4000 USD, we will simply help more girls in Uganda.
We will post our adventure on the Kilimanjaro and then the meeting with the girls in Uganda on our instagram page.
