Gippsland Girls to Nationals

Donation protected
Over the last two years, Covid has prevented the U16 Australian National Basketball Championships from being held. However, in 2022 it is finally back. Indi de Dios, Tayli Dimarco, and Grace Larkins were selected to represent the Victorian Country Team. The Girls are competing in Perth from July 2nd. The team consists of players from nine different Victorian regions.
The distance between the two girls who live furthest apart is 492 kilometers, or a five-and-a-half-hour drive. It makes it incredibly difficult for these country girls to train together. For three months, they sacrifice weekends to ensure they are well prepared to represent their state. Each weekend training is held in a different venue, often resulting in many hours of travel.
In addition, parents of these players are burdened with the additional costs involved with covering such large distances, including often having to stay in Motels every weekend and the cost of petrol being at all-time highs.
Your donation will help the girls cover the costs of flights, uniforms and accommodation and ensure the country team brings home gold!
The girls really appreciate you getting behind them while they represent the Vic Country Team. 1, 2, 3 GO COUNTRY
