I am raising funds to help Ginny Hawksley help the people of Virgin Gorda who are devastated from the wrath of hurricane Irma. Ginny is a close friend of many years and former neighbor in Virgin Gorda. And Mom of my Godson. I am in New York and Ginny is in London.
Specifically , funds are immediately needed to fly her nephew J.D from Puerto Ricco to London and to help him adjust to his new life with his Aunt Ginny and cousin Archie. Ginny is welcoming
J.D into her home.
Funds are also needed to help family members still in Virgin Gorda. All homes are gone . No food. No clothes .
J.D has lost everything and is suffering severe PTSD. He was in Virgin Gorda pinned behind a tree and large piece of metal for two hours while the hurricane raged.
46 family members remain homeless in Virgin Gorda.
Ginny is the mother of Archie . She and Archie resided in Virgin Gorda for many years. They now live outside of London. Archie and J.D are best friends.
Ginny is a loving , honest, amazing woman , who is winning her battle with breast cancer. A true survivor. An amazing Mom , the life of the party and so much more.
I never once heard her cry as she fought two rounds of cancer and underwent three operations. Today I heard her cry for her family in Virgin Gorda.
She works in London promoting tourism for the British Virgin Islands. She is struggling. She would never ask for help. Let's surprise her and give her what she needs to to get her nephew to London and give him a home and help other family members.
Funds will be used for J.D plane ticket and living expenses and for supplies for family in Virgin Gorda. Ginny will be able to transfer the funds from my account to her account.
