Kilimanjaro 2018!!!

Donation protected
In July 2017,  10 Women were chosen from Cox Automotive to climb Kilimanjaro and I was chosen as a reserve and told that if one of the 10 Women were unable to do the climb I would be offered the place...
Well in November 2017, I took a phone call to say I have now been offered a place!!!!!!  Eeeekkkkk!!!!!

My Story....
Having been through a mountain of my own in life personally; I decided at the beginning of the year to apply to climb Kilimanjaro when the opportunuity presented itself, because I wanted to show my children you can get through anything in life and you can achieve all you set you mind to if you believe in yourself, have courage and work hard.  Having faced another set back in recent months with the loss of my sister, this challenge will be my focus and she will be in my mind and in my heart getting me to the top!

The climb...
On February 24th 2018, I will be  climbing Kilimanjaro in Africa with 9 other women from Cox Automotive.  The climb to the top takes 8 days and will see us sleeping in tents on the side of the mountain, in temperatures as low as -20.  (Which isnt me at all!)

Although Cox Automotive have been kind enough to pay  £1,500 towards the trip, we have been set the challenge of raising the remaining £1,500.  As you can see I have set my target as £2,000 because I would like to raise some money and awareness about a fantastic charity called Wooden Spoon.

Wooden Spoon are the childrens charity of rugby! From sensory rooms, specialist playgrounds, and sports activity areas to resbite, medical and community care, they fund around 70 projects each year that support disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK and Ireland.
Their vision is 'Through the power of Rugby, every child and young person, no matter what their back ground has access to the same opportunities'.

Women with Drive
The Kilimanjaro challenge was set by Women With Drive (WWD). They believe in inspiring women to connect and succeed in the automotive industry by dreaming big and reaching goals. WWD  exists to support women in the automotive industry, where female team members are greatly outnumbered by men. The aim of the Kilmanjaro challenge is to prove female strength and determination to the world. I am truly honored to be one of the 10 women doing the climb.

Please show your support, dig deep and donate! Anything you can spare would be greatly received and very much appreciated.

This is a real challenge phyically and emotionally for me! I have never done anything like this before, it is way out of my comfort zone, but with your support behind me I will get up that mountain!!!!
Thank you for getting to the bottom of this and thank you for your support. Words will never truly convey how much your support means to me.
