On Friday, May 27, 2022, my cousin Dawn Gillard of Morley, MI and her three children were found dead from gunshot wounds inside their home. 6 year-old Katelynn Gillard, 4 year-old Ronald Gillard, 3 year-old Joshua Gillard, and their mother, 40 year-old Dawn Gillard were killed, by their father and husband, who then turned the firearm on himself, leading to a gunshot wound to the head.
All funds raised will be allocated to the surviving children.
This is a shocking and tragic story that nobody thinks will happen to them or those close to them. Any family that loses members to violence suffer immeasurably. Deaths so horrific should not be a financial burden on any surviving members. The Morley, MI community mourns the loss of all four lives. Funeral services are to be announced presumably in the Big Rapids, MI area.
