Dearest family and friends.
As some of you may know, on July 22, 2018, the love of my life Gilbert Small Jr. went to be with the Lord. For 31 years I spent an amazing life with an amazing man who loved his family like no other. We shared so many great years together and rarely spent anytime apart.
Cancer, the killer of so many, took away from me my forever love. This terrible disease has taken away a wonderful husband, loving and caring father, beloved son, great big brother and dedicated friend.
Gil Small Jr. was a graduate of Berklee College of Music. The life of a musician is one of service, struggle and sacrifices. Gil’s life was music. He poured every ounce of his heart and soul into his craft. All musicians know that this comes with great financial hardship.
As we begin making arrangements for Gil’s celebration of life ceremony, we are asking family and friends for financial support. Our goal is to reach $15,000.00 to help us to offset some of the funeral and medical expenses. We would like to raise the money before the services targeted for the end of next week. I know that this request is coming to you so soon, but Gil was taken from us far too soon. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. My son and I are forever thankful for the love and support given to our family.
Upon the completion of the arrangements of services, I will send out to everyone the funeral details. We would love for you to be a part of Gil’s home going and celebration of life.
