SSD Gulliver and Matthew Plumeri Story

This page is intended to raise awareness and funding to bring USMC Specialized Search Dog Gulliver home to reunite with his handler, Matthew Plumeri in upstate NY and enjoy his well deserved retirement. Gulliver is currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, in San Diego, California. He is going through the necessary requirements to be retired from the Marine Corps currently. This is a long process and an exact date to his retirement is not yet available. Therefore, fundraising for this is a proactive effort. When the time comes and an exact date becomes available, the funds raised will be utilized to purchase airfare and other miscellaneous costs for myself to fly to Camp Pendleton to get Gulliver and fly back to New York with him. The Bring Gulliver Home fundraiser is sponsored by the Marist Student Veterans Organization (MSVO). The Marist Student Veterans Organization represents all military veterans receiving a higher education from Marist College. The MSVO is an organization for Marist student Veterans to be a part of for support while they reintegrate and transition from military life into civilian life. The MSVO is sponsoring this initiative in support of MSVO member, Matthew Plumeri and Matt’s goal of reuniting with Special Service Dog Gulliver in anticipation of his well-deserved military retirement.
