Keeping Gianmarco's Memory Alive
Donation protected
In 2015 our then 9 year old son, Gianmarco, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We have fond memories of how family, friends and until then total strangers rallied to support us with prayers and acts of kindness. Donations toward his medical expenses and bills poured in so we never went wanting to cover his four and a half month of continuous hospitalization at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth . We are using leftover funds to keep his memory alive through a scholarship at Southwestern Adventist University and to host a monthly lunch for patients and caregivers on the pediatric oncology floor where he lived his last days. —Alfredo and Sonia Vergel
