Be Hope for Shauntell

At 33 years old, Shauntell Cullen was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer.  She was a young mom to a 3 year old, and had recently lost her second son.

Her cancer metastasized and spread to her liver, producing several tumors. She endured surgery, multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, and now she needs more to keep going.

The good news is Shauntell has just been accepted as part of a clinical trial for a cutting edge new therapy which has never before been used for breast cancer, but has had success in two other types of cancer. She is the very first candidate for this promising new therapy. By giving to support the Cullen family in this journey, you are helping to pave a way for more advancements in Stage IV therapies.

The treatment is in Maryland, a long way away from her home in Boise, Idaho. Shauntell will need to make multiple trips across the country, endure more surgeries and possibly stay at the hospital through the holidays. Shauntell's husband, Jeff, and now 5 year old son, Jonathan, are planning future trips out to stay with her toward the end of her treatment in December or January.

Shauntell and Jeff need our support.  The stress of additional expenses should be the last thing on their minds.

If you know Shauntell, you have seen her take metastatic cancer head-on with a positive attitude and an unyielding faith in God's plan for her life. She has been genuine, open, vulnerable, and honest in her journey. She is the most giving, caring, wonderful friend to so many people. She is an amazing wife and mother. She is the first to jump in and organize gifts and help for others so we thought, as her friends, we’d do the same for her.

If you know Jeff, his faith has been immovable, he has been an unwavering support to his wife and has worked hard to provide for his family. In addition, he strives to keep life normal for Jonathan, keeping him involved in sports, church activities, football games and other "guy" stuff.

Together, this family has had a tremendous impact on our lives.
So, we are asking for financial gifts of love on their behalf, to help ease the financial burden that comes with an all-consuming cancer diagnosis.

Please help us fight against this terrible disease so Shauntell can enjoy life with her son and husband for many years to come.

Stage IV needs more!
