Africa Nursing Mission Trip

Hello Family and Friends,

I am now in my second year of nurse practitioner school at the University of Tampa. Working full time as a nurse while in school has been quite a challenge, but I am learning so much and I am very excited about my future career as a family nurse practitioner. 

I am excited to share with you that I have an incredible opportunity to travel to Ghana, Africa for 16 days with other nursing students from my school in May 2019 to work alongside healthcare providers taking care of patients. I will gain experience with assessing, diagnosing and treating diseases commonly found in Africa. Not only will I be applying my knowledge and skills as a student nurse practitioner, but I will be immersed in the African culture and spending time in the communities of Ghana. We will be working in a clinic providing healthcare to the locals. I am looking forward to caring for this underserved population, as well as developing unforgettable relationships with the people of Ghana. 

Gracious donations from friends and family will help make this exciting opportunity possible. The total cost of this trip is $4100, including all airfare, travel, lodging and food for the entire 16 days. Any amount of money that you can contribute will allow me to attend this nursing mission trip. I look forward to making a positive impact on individuals and within many communities in Ghana. We will be collecting and bringing with us large supplies of vitamins, over-the-counter medications, and medical supplies. Donations of medical supplies, vitamins, and medications will greatly be appreciated as well.
