Cassie's Elbow Dysplasia Operation
Donation protected
Cassie will be 2 years old on bonfire night, I had her insured but when her insurance renewal came in it had gone up to £680 but I didn't have the funds to pay for it at the time. I went into hospital for a replacement shoulder and when I came out Cassie's insurance had run out and the company won't insure her again. Cassie is on pain killers and anti-inflamatory drugs but they aren't doing her much good, I even gave her one of my own morphine tablets but it just made her sleepy. It is heartbreaking to see Cassie limping all the time, knowing that she is in so much pain and the vet says he is going to do a sliding humeral osteotomy ( pins and plates) to help with Cassie's elbow dysplasia, he says the elbow has got worse over the last couple of months. People keep telling us to have her put down as she is costing us so much money, but that is NOT an option and I think my wife would rather have me put down than Cassie (I hope she's not serious) Cassie's operation is going to cost around £3,000 and it is imperative that she gets the operation sooner rather than later but we cannot afford the operation and have been selling bits and pieces trying to raise as much as possible but it is going to take forever.
