Zeena's Story
After atleast a 3 months stay in the ..hospital in the hands of God and my doctors, I have been through hell and back. Praise God! Alleluia. Been passed on btwn 2 different hospital's. The 1st one was going to leave me for dead concluding I should be sent to hospice because there was nothing else they could do for me. Fortunately my nephew who is also a nurse convinced them to try another method to revive me. My guardian angel came through and my gastrointestinal doctor insisted that I be sent to a hospital of his choice. I was air lifted to another hospital and that saved my life.
The doctors there said I was very lucky because I did not recognize how sick I was. That hospital bypassed all protocol to save me or I would have been dead in 10 days. That was the scariest moment of my life. They were able to find me a matching organ and replaced my diseased one in 2 weeks.
My God is good all the time. My legs were almost paralyzed but now I am starting to walk again. One day at a time. Spent all the holidays &birthday in the hospital. I thank God for my wonderful family and friends who stood by me and still are . I am home now recuperating.
I would have not been alive to share this with you. Out of 50000 people waiting for a liver transplant only )5000 were selected and I was one of the lucky ones. Alleluia! I am so glad to still be here with all of you. I can't work for 8 months. I love you all and will keep you posted on my progress
OUR MISSION
Our friend Zeena Atta Dosumu needs our help.
God miraculously provided the opportunity for a liver transplant, and within a few days of being told she had 10 days to live, a match was found! She is still in a critical condition.
There is still a long road of recovery ahead....and being a one man small business owner no income is generated while she recuperates. The road ahead would be even more expensive and huge medical bills and debt has piled up while also needing money for her children's education. And to save their home.
She has two young daughters, one is in college and the other is in high school.
The kids are totally dependent on their mum and with her incapacitated, we need to help the family.
Zeena has always been that friend that everyone depends on.
The friend that is full of life and would give you the shirt off her back. The friend who saw good in everyone. A workaholic who was not afraid to get her pretty nails dirty.
Friends, Zeena needs us. Please open your hearts to her. Thank you.
