Dawn Braithwaite's Healing Fund
Donation protected
On Sunday, December 10, 2017, Dawn Braithwaite was critically injured after being hit by a car as she was walking home from attending church services, sustaining many injuries, including broken limbs, spinal fractures, broken ribs and numerous other broken bones.
The man who hit Dawn had an unregistered vehicle and was uninsured. This means Dawn can not sue for damages; and she will be out of work for a very long time.
Dawn has been an employee of Hospice Care Network, working as an aide at the Hospice Inn for the past 13 years, dedicating herself to giving compassionate, loving care to terminally ill patients and their families.
Dawn never misses a day of work and is loved and admired by her colleagues for her strong work ethic and the impeccable care she renders to her patients. Dawn has always received many accolades and thanks from those she has cared for and their families. Her role is now reversed, and she is in need of receiving the expert, skillful medical care she has always given to others.
Dawn is the eldest girl and second child of 8 children, and has been an a second mother to her younger siblings. She is a faithful churchgoer, and a Sunday School Teacher at her church, The Kings Chapel in Hempstead.
In addition, she faithfully donates platelets every two weeks, to help those in need. Dawn will be out of work for an extended period of time, and will need extensive rehabilitation to recover from her injuries.
Please join us in helping this beautiful person by donating to help offset her medical expenses, so she can focus on healing.
